A magical underground venue full of mystery, romance and jazz reminiscent of 1930s Shanghai. Located in a basement on Silom road, just a few blocks from the Chao Phraya River. Maggie Choo’s is a cocktail bar and cabaret night club with live jazz music culminating into the best little night club in Asia.
On July 20th Maggie Choo’s emerged from its underground speakeasy and went high above the city lights, taking over the 35th floor of the Penthouse Bar + Grill at the Park Hyatt Bangkok in a unique collaborative takeover.
Maggie Choo’s Bartenders – Anders Olsen and “Kong” Worachai Duangkong – served up several of the venue’s asian-infused signature cocktails. ‘Rum in Tea’, ‘Black Blood’ and ‘Red in Town’. The Penthouse served up their own signature cocktails with ‘Red Carpet’, ‘Lady Tango’, ‘Hair of Farang’, and ‘White Pearl’.
Guests were thrilled and captivated by the venue’s famous Shanghainese ladies, who presented 3 signature dances to entertain guests at The Penthouse and gave a little taste of Maggie Choo’s.
In a special guest arrangement, Award Winning American recording artist, Norwood Young, performed to guests and revelers at The Penthouse, showing off his talent and cementing his residency at Maggie Choo’s. Maggie Choo’s has live music Monday to Saturday from 10 pm to 1 am, ranging from Neo Jazz, Re-imagined Standards, and Soulful Blues. As of July 2019, Norwood Young has joined famed nightclub, “Maggie Choo’s”, headlining their Friday and Saturday nights from 10 pm.
The takeover was rounded out with guests shimming and dancing the night away with Maggie Choo’s shanghainese ladies to the tunes by DJ Mr. Jim.
