In the rarefied atmosphere of Bangkok’s culinary elite, where gastronomic artistry meets sublime luxury, The Reunion 3.0 emerged as the season’s most coveted epicurean experience. This extraordinary three-evening celebration, which unfolded from May 22-24 at the prestigious Signature Bangkok, brought together four world-renowned MICHELIN-starred and rising star chefs in an unprecedented collaboration that redefined the boundaries of fine dining.
Nestled within the prestigious VIE Hotel Bangkok – MGallery Collection, the MICHELIN-starred Signature Bangkok has maintained its coveted stellar recognition since earning its inaugural star in 2023—a distinction it has proudly retained through consecutive years of culinary excellence.

The opening evening’s Cheese & Wine Night served as an elegant prelude to the culinary symphony that followed, featuring an opulent selection from Les Frères Marchand, France’s oldest and most respected artisanal cheesemakers. This distinguished maison, with its centuries-old heritage of fromage excellence, curated an exceptional collection that showcased the very pinnacle of French cheese-making tradition. The artfully arranged display revealed aged Comtés with their crystalline textures, creamy Camemberts at perfect ripeness, and robust Roqueforts that spoke to generations of master affineurs. Each wheel and wedge represented not merely sustenance, but edible poetry—a testament to the time-honored craft that transforms simple milk into luxurious delicacies worthy of the most discerning palates.

The evening’s star attractions extended far beyond the magnificent fromage selection. Chef Thierry Drapeau, the visionary behind Signature Bangkok’s MICHELIN-starred excellence, brought his celebrated “cuisine of the soil” philosophy to this extraordinary gathering. His nine consecutive years maintaining two MICHELIN stars at Thierry Drapeau Logis de la Chabotterie in France’s Loire Valley established him as a modern French culinary pioneer, renowned for his light, expressive flavours and innovative use of floral elements that transformed each dish into an aromatic masterpiece.
Joining this culinary constellation was Chef Gary Kirchens from Belgium, whose Aurum by Gary Kirchens has maintained its coveted MICHELIN star since 2022. As a distinguished member of Mastercooks of Belgium’s Young Master Initiative, Kirchens represents the new generation of European culinary excellence, bringing his refined Belgian sensibilities to this international collaboration.

From the Netherlands came Chef Syrco Bakker, former head chef of the two-MICHELIN-starred Pure C, which he co-founded with three-star legend Sergio Herman. Winner of Gault & Millau Chef of the Year 2022, Bakker now channels his innovative, sustainable approach at Syrco BASÉ in Bali, where his creative vision continues to push culinary boundaries.
The quartet is completed by rising star Chef Erwann Guillois, French Champion Bakery 2025, whose distinguished career includes prestigious collaborations with legendary chefs Alain Ducasse and Thierry Marx. His recent victory in the qualifying round of Coupe de France de la Boulangerie at Sirha Lyon marks him as one of France’s most promising culinary talents.

Les Frères Marchand’s presence at this gathering represented more than mere accompaniment—it embodied the very essence of French gastronomic heritage. Founded 150 years ago, this venerable fromagerie has perfected the ancient art of cheese aging, maintaining temperature-controlled caves where time itself becomes an ingredient. Their selection for The Reunion represented months of careful curation, with each cheese chosen at its optimal moment of maturation to complement the evening’s wine pairings and culinary artistry.

The Cheese & Wine Night offered an intimate introduction to the talented Chefs and the culinary magic that awaited in the subsequent Reunion Nights. Limited seating ensured an exclusive atmosphere where Bangkok’s most sophisticated food enthusiasts witnessed the convergence of European tradition and contemporary innovation.
