What did you know about Hua Hin before you moved here?
I was aware it was a great place to spend vacations as well as being a famous wedding destination, especially for Indian celebrations.
What do you like most about your profession?
I get to meet people from different parts of the globe and cook for them. I also enjoy all the new innovative cooking techniques and culinary trends.
What do you like least about your profession?
I do not dislike anything in my profession, cooking is my passion and I am lucky to be able to live my dream.
What do you like most about Hua Hin?
I think Hua Hin provides a great working environment as well as a good diversity for outdoor activities.
What is your favorite restaurant and why? (please don’t promote your own restaurants)
I enjoy eating in local restaurants wherever I travel to and discover authentic flavors.
What do you like to do in your free time and why?
I spend a lot of my free time searching for recipes and discovering the surrounding markets, looking for interesting ingredients and connecting with local people.
What would you recommend to new-comers to do in Hua Hin and why?
Eat healthy and exercise. Buy from the local markets instead of supermarkets as it will benefit farmer’s families as well.
Tell us a surprising fact that the public might not know about you?
First I know low temperature cooking technique. It’s a difficult one because the food is cooked between 45-85 degree Celsius for a prolonged time. Second, I like to do a fusion style of cuisine which is innovative and motivates me to bring out creativity.
What is the most outlandish thing you have ever done and why?
I would like to refer to the most prestigious time in my career which was to cook for the late king Bhumibol Adulyadej. It was a golden opportunity and I am very thankful for it.
