If we know something about luxurious hotels it’s that they’ll stop at nothing to please the customer in every way they can. Room service? Done. Transportation? Done. Guided trips? Done. Five star yacht trip across the seas? Yes, soon, it will be done too.
The Ritz-Carlton unveiled this past month its intention to service its clientele with a service unparalleled to any other hotel that may offer modes of maritime transport. Cruising right into the yacht business, the Ritz-Carlton announced it would begin operating such services at the end of the year 2019, putting a breaking new concept into its already expansive array of amenities.
Operating under The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, it will be sure to hoist its flag up on the most renowned ports around the world, making its mark in the scene of luxury transportation. Herve Humler, The president and Chief Operation Officer of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, said the vessels would provide a distinctive personality and that the vessels would stand out worldwide, adding that what was being sought was combination of yachting and cruising will usher in a new way of luxury travel for guests seeking to discover the world in a relaxed, casually elegant and comfortable atmosphere with the highest level of personalized service.”
Ultimately, what the hotel chain will seek is to reproduce what they have on land to the sea, making sure every inch of the yacht screams of the Ritz-Carton’s identity. Intended for vocational freedom and ease of access to ports in which bigger vessels may be unable to station themselves, the 190 metre yacht will hold up to a maximum of 298 passengers and feature almost 150 suites, all equipped with their own balcony. For those who want to go big however, the boat will feature two penthouses 138 square metres with a contemporary finish and modern interior craftsmanship.
“The Ritz-Carlton is known for its legendary service and high standards,” said Douglas Prothero Managing Director, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection. “We are delighted to collaborate with The Ritz-Carlton as our hospitality operator in offering the most exclusive yachting experience to be found at sea in a venture that will give new meaning to curated luxury travel,” continued Lars Clasen, Managing Director, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection.
The vessel will feature a feast of onboard private dining, including the Sven Elverfeld of Aqua restaurant which boasts of three Michelin stars, the Ritz-Carlton’s very own Wolfsburg restaurant and a wine bar, which will provide the diner with every culinary amenity he needs to the sound of live music serenading him throughout his meals.
Additionally, the yacht will offer one-of-a-kind curated destination journeys through collaborations with local chefs, musicians and artists, allowing guests to experience the locations in unique and experiential ways, both onboard and ashore.
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection yacht will be one of the most ground breaking moves by the hotel chain to provide the utmost expansive range of luxury to the holiday maker.
