True Arena Hua Hin, Asia’s premier sports club, has been chosen by the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) to be the host venue for The Asian Tennis Tour Thailand Series 2016 (ATT Thailand Series 2016) that will be held from May thru October of this year.
With a big prize award for the winners in each category, the tournament comprises 12 exciting matches which will gather the best male and female star athletes across Asia. The first match will be organized on 30 May 2016.
Besides prize money, winners will also gain a special bonus as a Wild Card for accessibility to the professional circuits, namely EA Hua Hin Open (ATP) and EA Hua Hin Championship (WTA), which are annually organized at True Arena Hua Hin. A master match will be arranged in December to complete the ATT Thailand Series 2016.
At a Press Conference that took place on the 2nd of May at True Arena Hua Hin, Mr. Suwat Liptapanlop, Former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand, was joined by Mr. Anil Khanna, President of the Asian Tennis Federation, Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop, Executive Director of Proud Real Estate CO.,Ltd, and The Honorable Dr. Tawee Narissirikul, Governor of Prachuap Khiri Khan.
Khun Suwat stated that it is a great opportunity for Thailand that True Arena Hua Hin was recognized for its international quality infrastructure and high capacity and made a venue for ATT. As Thailand’s premier location for world-class tennis with professional quality plexicushion tennis courts, True Arena Hua Hin is fully ready for ATT Thailand Series 2016.”
Khun Suwat went on to say, “This competition also plays an important part in the skill improvement of young players, supporting them to becoming a great success in their career like other former top Asian players, such as Kei Nishikori from Japan, ranked world #11, and Paradorn Srichaphan, former Top Thai player ranked world #9, to name just a couple.”
Mr Anil Khanna, President of the Asian Tennis Tour added that the “First two events have received encouraging response from the players and we are pleased to declare the first ATT Standings today.”

For this year, True Arena Hua Hin will organize over 40 professional tournaments, including the ATT Thailand Series 2016,” Ms. Proudputh Liptapanlop added.
Each ATT Thailand Series 2016 tournament will be broadcasted through TNN and True Sport channels.
