    Let’s Stay, InterContinental Phuket Resort

    October 29, 20205 Mins Read

Located between Millionaire’s Mile and the Cherngtalay  headland, you’ll find the InterContinental Phuket Resort.  The resort is situated in the most exclusive area on Phuket’s stunning west coast on Kamala Beach.

Inspired by Phuket’s natural landscape, the beachfront resort features a collection of 221 elegant rooms, suites and villas with panoramic views of the Andaman Sea and is surrounded by pine forests. A visual and architectural showcase, the hotel’s design was inspired by “Traibhumikatha,” the oldest Thai text which sets out an explanation of heaven.  Architects used the estate as a canvas to illustrate the recurring concept of “Heaven on Earth.”  Iconic Thai artists were commissioned to re-interpret the Traibhumikatha from personal perspectives in paintings and sculptures that can be found throughout the resort.

No matter what type of room you would like, you will find your wish fulfilled as they offer an astonishing 11 different room types.

Their Classic & Superior Mountain View Rooms are 43 square meters and are set on the Hillside, offering garden views with a spacious balcony or terrace with a dining table.

Their Classic & Superior Pool View & Pool Access Rooms are 41 square meters. They are also on the Hillside allowing you to bask in breathtaking views over their picturesque pool from your spacious balcony or jump right into the cool water from your terrace.

From here, the room types move up to “Club InterContinental,” which all offer special privileges.  Those privileges include exclusive Club InterContinental Lounge & Pool Access with complimentary breakfast, afternoon tea, and evening cocktails & canapes, as well as an exclusive check-in area, and butler service on request.

Club InterContinental Ocean View & Pool View Room’s are 46 square meters and are located Beachside.  The Club InterContinental Ocean View Suite is luxurious, providing all the space you need for an unforgettable escape.  At 61 square meters, it includes a separate living area and is only a few steps away from the beach.

The Club InterContinental Lagoon Villa offers you a spacious balcony or terrace with a dining table and direct lagoon access.  At 104 square meters, it includes a separate living and garden area and is located Hillside.

The InterContinental Phuket Resort also offers sensational, private, One, Two, & Three Bedroom Club InterContinental Pool Villas.  All Villas allow for spacious indoor and outdoor living with private pools and gardens.  Set on the Hillside, their One bedroom Villa is 210 square meters, the Two bedroom Villa is 260 square meters, and their “Out of this world” three bedroom villa is an impressive 360 square meters in size.

If your room desire doesn’t include a private pool, not to worry, the resort boasts six swimming pools.  Their beach pool, surrounded by pines, offers the best vantage point for the Andaman sunset.  The Club InterContinental Pool is a stunning private alternative for Club InterContinental guests.  Additional pools include their Rooftop Pool, Lagoon Pool, and Serene Pool. They also have a Kid’s Pool for their younger guests.  Speaking of youngsters, they’ll love Planet Trekkers.  This jungle-themed hideout is simply brimming with fun. Fully supervised and packed with educational and interactive activities, young adventurers will have a ball while mummy and daddy can sit back and relax.

When not swimming, there is plenty to keep you busy.  The resort offers a variety of activities to enhance your overall well-being. Besides their well-equipped Fitness center & Tennis court, you can partake in High-Intensity Interval Training, Aqua Aerobics, Beach Boot camp, Beach Jogging, Walking Meditation, Yoga & Muay Thai.

After you have worked up an appetite, you’ll discover that the resort’s dining outlets offer superb culinary experiences in marvelous settings, any time of day. Jaras is their signature restaurant that features modern Thai fine-dining using sustainably sourced products from the island’s fishermen and farmers.  Pinto restaurant offers international gourmet cuisine in a family setting, taking inspiration from Old Phuket Town and quirky shophouse eateries. Pine is an upscale barefoot beach bar and lounge offering the best sunset view in Phuket.

The resort’s masterpiece, Heavenly Pavilion Lounge, is inspired by the mythical Himmapan forest with its white and silver tones, Monta flower chandelier, and sculpted creatures.  Located within this surreal structure stands the Sati Spa and Wellness®, enhancing your journey to mindfulness. From treatments featuring customized flower scents based on your day of birth to the world’s first unique application of the Khit triangle pillow to enhance Thai massage’s comfort and benefits. The spa offers eight treatment rooms, a Duet Suite with Jacuzzi, and a full-service nail salon.  Sati Spa uses HARNN’s natural body care, skincare, and home spa products from Thailand.

If business is on the agenda, The InterContinental Phuket Resort is ready for you.  You can choose from a selection of adaptable meeting rooms, function areas, or their pillarless ballroom.  Called Arlang, their ballroom can accommodate 240 in a theater-style, 180 for a banquet, or 300 for a cocktail reception.

The resort is also a stunning locale for that special day.  Whether your dream wedding resembles fairy-tale Western nuptials or a Thai ceremony steeped in tradition, they have packages to suit. No detail is left unattended, with bespoke designs and unique add-ons available. A personal wedding manager and butler are available throughout your stay, ensuring all is seamlessly smooth and leaving you to create lasting memories with your loved ones.

Famous temples, bustling markets, and a world of attractions and adventures can be found near InterContinental Phuket Resort on Kamala Beach, adding the perfect finishing touches to a beautiful getaway at this prestigious Thai resort.
