The InterContinental Hua Hin Resort is known as the hotel of choice for A-List entertainers & Sports Icons. Ryan Reynolds, Paul Anka, Rafael Nadal, and Serena Williams have all stayed there, to name just a few.
From September 22nd to the 24th, the InterContinental had the same buzz, but it wasn’t from stardom; it was from the 30 beautiful Thai women staying at the hotel, there to compete in the Miss Universe Thailand Beauty Pageant Swimsuit Competition.
Along with Miss World, Miss International, and Miss Earth, the Miss Universe is part of the Big Four international beauty pageants. It is the most coveted beauty title among all the international pageant competitions.
This annual international beauty pageant is run by the United States-based Miss Universe Organization and is the largest pageant in the world in terms of live TV coverage, airing yearly in more than 190 countries worldwide to an audience of over 500 million. The pageant’s advocacy is “humanitarian issues and to be a voice to affect positive change in the world.”
Under the concept of “Real You, Real Universe,” the swimsuit competition wasn’t just about physical beauty but also the young woman’s persona, attitude, and talent.
The swimsuits were provided by Thailand’s BSC Swimwear from its “Uniquely You” line, inspired by traditional Thai textiles.
Presented by TPN Global Co., Ltd, the preliminary round to select the semi-finalists will occur on October 7th, with the highly anticipated final night taking place on October 10th.
