On October 20th, The PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards announced the final shortlist of nominees gracing its landmark 15th annual black-tie gala event and awards ceremony on Wednesday, November 18th at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok.
Celebrating 15 years of rewarding excellence in property development, architecture, and design, the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards extends its record as the country’s longest-running and most prestigious real estate awards programme.
Almost 45 categories are at stake in this milestone edition of the awards, hailing an outstanding cross-section of developers and projects in multiple pricing segments and design typologies. This year’s edition of the PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards will be one of its most diverse and inclusive yet, honouring the finest developers and developments in Greater Bangkok and those in the country’s most active regional property markets.
Approximately 30 companies will be competing at the 15th Annual PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards. They include AIA Company Limited; AP Thailand; AssetWise PLC.; Best Property Co., Ltd.; Divine Development; Grand Trinity Development; Habitat Group; JLL; Kasemsubsiri Co., Ltd.; Origin Property Public Company Limited; L.P.N. Development PCL.; Revo Estate Company Limited; Risland (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; and UNI-LIVING Co., Ltd.
They will be joined by companies that have demonstrated excellence in the development of villas, housing, condominiums, and other residential projects in regional markets such as Phuket, Samui, Hua Hin, Khao Yai, and the Eastern Seaboard. They are Ametus Development Co., Ltd; ESTATE CREATION CO., Ltd. (EC GROUP); Falcon Hill Development Limited; Idea Development; Irin Property Co., Ltd.; Pearl Island Property Co., Ltd.; Proud Real Estate Public Company Limited; Real Estate Engineering Samui Co., Ltd; Serene Surin Co., Ltd.; Sisaran Group Co., Ltd; THAMDEE 2020 CO., Ltd; The Riviera Group; Toscana Valley Company Limited; Utopia Corporation Co Ltd.; VIP Property Development; and Wealth Asset Group Co., Ltd.
Shortlisted companies will be vying for the titles of Best Breakthrough Developer and Best Sustainable Developer, which have never been presented in the 15-year history of the awards.
Nearly 40 projects from all over the country will be competing in the awards. Developers with multiple nominated projects include Divine Development, with nominations for GROOVE CONDO RATCHADA-RAMA 9, GROOVE SCAPE 48, and GROOVE VIBES LADPRAO 18, and AP Thailand, with nods for RHYTHM CHAROENKRUNG PAVILLION and RHYTHM Ekkamai Estate. L.P.N. Development PCL. is also multi-nominated for Baan 365 MuangThong and Lumpini Place RAMA 3 – RIVERINE, while Utopia Corporation Co Ltd accumulated multiple nods for Utopia Central and Utopia Thalang.
Developers with multiple nominated projects in regional markets include Real Estate Engineering Samui Co., Ltd, with nominations for Hansa by Tropical Life Residence and Sumalee by Tropical Life Residence; The Riviera Group for The Riviera Monaco, The Riviera Ocean Drive, and The Riviera Jomtien; and Toscana Valley Company Limited for Acqua Pool Villa and Castello Della Valle.
PropertyGuru Thailand Property Awards was originally launched in 2005. It has since witnessed continuous growth over the years, with nominations from the public reaching as high as 1,500 and receiving entries that number between 175 and 300 on average a year.
Russ Downing, head judge of the Hua Hin judging panel for 12 years, had this to say about the current state of the property market, “Although 2020 threw us a real curveball that we didn’t see coming, the Property market in Thailand has proved resilient and adaptive, with an inward focus towards domestic buyers. What could have been a disastrous year has turned out surprisingly, okay.”
