Hua Hin’s blend of heritage, hospitality, and coastal calm proved the perfect backdrop for Mrs. National Universe 2025, an international pageant that celebrates far more than beauty — honouring leadership, empowerment, and cultural exchange on a global stage.
Earlier this month, Hua Hin welcomed an extraordinary gathering of women from around the world as Mrs. National Universe 2025 arrived on Thailand’s Gulf coast with a purpose extending well beyond the stage. Designed not only as an international pageant, but also as a cultural and tourism showcase, the event highlighted the distinctive character of Hua Hin, Pranburi, and Sam Roi Yod, positioning the region as a destination of elegance, authenticity, and global appeal.

Delegates travelled from across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas, arriving via Suvarnabhumi Airport before beginning a carefully curated journey through the region. From the outset, the programme emphasised connection — between cultures, communities, and the landscapes that define this stretch of Thailand’s coastline.

Early activities introduced contestants to Hua Hin’s heritage, including a visit to the town’s historic railway station, one of Thailand’s most photographed landmarks. The group then travelled south to Pranburi, where they checked in for a two-night stay at Pranburi Cabana Resort, a beachfront retreat that became a hub for both relaxation and creativity. Resort-wear photo shoots unfolded against the natural beauty of the coastline and nearby Sam Roi Yod Beach, reinforcing the pageant’s intention to spotlight the region’s unspoilt scenery.

Culinary experiences played a central role throughout the week, with delegates gathering repeatedly at Im Oak Imjai, where traditional Thai dishes and seafood feasts became moments of shared discovery. These meals doubled as cultural exchanges, offering contestants an authentic taste of local hospitality while strengthening the bonds formed among the group.

Beyond the visual and social elements, the programme incorporated meaningful engagement with the environment and community. Beach activities in Sam Roi Yod included a CSR-focused clean-up initiative, reflecting the values of responsibility and stewardship that underpin the modern Mrs. pageant platform. Wellness sessions, such as yoga by the sea, balanced the schedule, while excursions including ATV rides and temple visits offered further insight into the region’s cultural and natural diversity.

Throughout the week, professional product shoots were integrated into the itinerary, with contestants participating in campaigns for Lolane Hair Care and Mylene Skin Care. These sessions highlighted not only beauty and presentation, but confidence and individuality, aligning with the brands’ emphasis on real women and real lifestyles.

Midweek marked a transition to Hua Hin proper, as the delegates checked in to The Kaset Hua Hin, which also houses the Princess Chulabhorn International Conference Centre, the venue for the grand final night. Activities here blended refinement with cultural immersion, including Thai dessert cooking classes and professional photo and video shoots around the hotel’s elegant interiors. Evening gatherings, including dinners at Tiger Lily Bar and Restaurant, allowed anticipation to build as rehearsals approached.

The grand final night unfolded at the Princess Chulabhorn International Conference Centre at Kaset Hua Hin, providing a fittingly prestigious setting for the culmination of the week’s journey. The evening opened with a welcome speech by Khun Wassana Srikanchana, former President of the Hua Hin–Cha-Am Tourism Association, whose remarks underscored the importance of international events in promoting the region on a global stage.

As contestants appeared in national costume and evening gown, the focus remained on poise, presence, and personal story rather than spectacle alone. The judging panel reflected the pageant’s multidimensional values, bringing together leaders from business, wellness, hospitality, and community organisations. Among them were Sutasinee Promliem, Founder and CEO of Varda by Sinee; Wanthida Saengputtha, Mrs. Universe 2018 and CEO of Wanvita Supplement; Angela June; and Sirikorn Nortim, owner of Im Oak Imjai Restaurant and Pranburi Cabana Resort. They were joined by representatives from the Hua Hin Women’s Club, the hospitality sector, travel services, and previous titleholders, ensuring a broad and balanced perspective.

The title of Mrs. National Universe 2025 was awarded to Bonny Bao of China, whose performance throughout the week was marked by confidence and consistency. She also received honours for Popular Vote and Best National Costume. Sarah Racha of Laos was crowned Mrs. National World 2025, while Sylvia Polak of the Philippines earned the Mrs. National Globe 2025 title alongside the Photogenic award. First Runner-Up honours went to Pressena of Malaysia, with Oliver Akao of Uganda named Second Runner-Up. Additional awards celebrated achievements in performance, congeniality, flawless skin, and women’s empowerment, reinforcing the event’s emphasis on substance alongside style.

As Mrs. National Universe 2025 drew to a close, the event left a lasting impression not only for its polished production, but for its role in showcasing Hua Hin, Pranburi, and Sam Roi Yod as destinations of culture, hospitality, and understated elegance. More than a pageant, it was a week-long expression of modern womanhood — confident, connected, and globally engaged.
