AL SARAY is a restaurant offering exquisite Lebanese and Indian dishes endorsing the same standard of excellence in food and service as with all other Gourmet House branches.
Entering Al Saray is like stepping into an exotic culinary realm swirling with colourful spices and aromatic seasonings from the region. It’s a sanctuary from the hustle-bustle of downtown Bangkok, an escape where homemade-style food and coffee from the orient are whipped up before your very eyes.
On offer is a wide array of homemade choices, from small Lebanese mezze dishes and grilled & baked selections to Indian curry and desserts. Not only are their dishes strictly prepared according to Halal standard, but they also feature premium and healthy ingredients in respect of real Lebanese and Indian traditions.
Both Lebanese and Indian cuisines are renowned for being healthy and are noted for their prominent use of herbs, seasoning and spicing. A typical Lebanese meal starts with small Mezze serving, Taboule salad, Hummus dip, Vine leaves, and Kebbeh that also incorporate olive oil and garlic. Meanwhile, the entrée usually consists of healthy grilled meat, chicken, and fish in addition to bread. Indian food is best known for its diverse use of spices that culminates in a curry, a variety of naan bread, and yogurt. The meal is heavy on spices, which is accompanied by spiced tea for the purpose of promoting digestion.
Taking the lead in the kitchen are chefs Mahdi from Lebanon and Chef Sampooran who was born in the foothills of the Himalayas, along with a team of dedicated personnel who work harmoniously to achieve the highest standard of efficiency and service.
