True Arena Hua Hin, Hua Hin’s ultimate full sports facility, continues to bring quality tennis tournaments to Hua Hin. In addition to hosting all 12 of the Asian Tennis Tour’s Thailand tournaments in 2016 they are also hosting 13 ITF Pro Circuit tournament’s this year. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments will bring world ranked players, both men and women from around the world to compete in Hua Hin and will be broadcasted by Now26.
True Arena Hua Hin has joined hands with Cal-Comp as the main sponsors of the 13 tournaments. Additional sponsors include: Singha, Now26, Dunlop, FBT, B. Grimm, and Taikisha.
The Cal-Comp XYZ printing & ITF Pro Circuit, will feature tennis players from more than 10 countries. Six men’s tournaments offering 10,000 USD’s in prize money, 5 women’s tournaments with 10,000 USD’s in prize money and 2 women’s tournaments with a 25,000 USD prize purse.
The ITF tournament’s aims to provide an opportunity for participating professional players to develop their skills and succeed in world-class circuits, on the way to greater success in their career. In addition, this will significantly promote Thailand and Hua Hin as a sports-tourism destination among worldwide athletes as well as tourists via TV broadcast.
In featuring both men and women’s matches, the Cal Comp & XYZprinting ITF Pro Circuit assist in building up the careers of a new generation of players of both genders. The ITF Women Pro Circuit serves as a developmental circuit for WTA Tour (Women’s Tennis Association) Players who, after success on the ITF Women’s Circuit, will earn sufficient points to be eligible for qualifying for a draw or main draw entry to the WTA Tournament. The ITF Men Pro Circuit enables young male professionals to progress on to the ATP challenger and ultimately to the full ATP World Tour.
The first six day tournament took place on August 22nd and saw Chen Ti from Taiwan and John Paul Fruttero from America winning in Doubles over Wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul and Kittiphong Wachiramanowong, both from Thailand in two sets 6-4,6-2. The men’s single final saw Chen Ti from Taiwan winning over Mr. Fajing Sun from China in two sets, 6-3,6-1.
