Let’s Stay Hua Hin – The Hyatt Regency

    March 19, 20166 Mins Read

015 The Barai Suite Bedroom IIHua Hin has been a favorite beach getaway for Thais for generations. It’s history and Royal heritage is rich, although it started out quite humbly as a quiet fishing village. When holidaying in Hua Hin, most Bangkok Thais prefer a beach hotel to frolic in the sand and surf.

The Hyatt Regency is an extremely popular Hua Hin hotel that boasts the longest beachfront, 315 meters, of all the popular Hua Hin waterfront hotels. Only a two-and-a-half-hour drive from Bangkok, it is the perfect getaway from the maddening crowds of the city and a peaceful place for you to unwind and take a much needed break. Featuring 213 guestrooms and suites, the Hyatt Regency is designed for comfort and style, offering a range of luxury in pace with the individual needs of their guests. Adding to its specialness is its internationally renowned Barai Spa, one of the premier spas in Thailand as well as many restaurant choices offering exquisite cuisines from all around the world.

HH004 New Deluxe RoomThe rooms have been designed in such a way that they all face inwards, so each room has a beautiful view of either the pools, lagoons or gardens. Every room and suite is designed for comfort and at the same time they have an excellent modern Thai décor which is tastefully arranged. The rooms, the Standard, Deluxe and Club Rooms are just the right size for you if you are traveling alone or with a partner. They have comfy beds and elegant baths with glass sliding doors, and a separate seating area, a minibar as well as a flat screen TV with cable for times you want to stay in and watch a movie. The balconies are spacious with comfortable seating arrangements so that guests can also sit outside to enjoy the view and get some fresh air.

The Suite packages are bigger and differ according to the styles but in most cases, they include a patio, pantry, and working area as well as a complementary daily massage. The Presidential Pool Villa is a noteworthy villa suite at the beach hotel- it has a private plunge pool guests can enjoy and a kitchen, a living room and a master bedroom all so gracefully decorated with wooden furnishings and nuances of brown. As you would expect from a 5 star hotel, there is 24-hour room service and all the staff at Hyatt Regency are known for being very efficient and top notch, which is a common view shared by the many guests who have shared their stays on sites such as Trip Advisor.

There is a vast selection of restaurants to try out at The Hyatt Regency. If you are looking for conventional Thai food, Talay Thai Restaurant is a must go. With live traditional Thai music and fresh seafood, this place is filled with Thailand’s true essence. Figs restaurant, located right beside the tropical gardens is another notable place to eat at especially for a delicious buffet breakfast with a lot of international and Asian items, or exotic Italian dishes for dinner. Of course, McFarland House is one of the most talked about restaurants- sitting on the beachfront, it is definitely a good place to try Thai and Western cuisines along with cocktails in a relaxing atmosphere. There’s also the Fountain Lounge to chill in the evenings for snacks, cocktails and pastries that effortlessly manages to attract many of the guests with its comfortable low-key style.

You can never get bored when you are at The Hyatt Regency, not even if you try. A visit to The Barai, an award-winning destination spa is an experience you shouldn’t miss out on- be prepared to completely let go of all the stress you’re feeling, because the ambience, the sand paths, large water bodies all contribute to the tranquil beauty of the place. There are eight luxury residential spa suites and eighteen treatment rooms all beautifully furnished with bold yet relaxing colors. Massages and body scrubs are given in open-air rooms by professionals trained to skillfully work their magic with their hands and give your body the attention it has missed out on for months. There is almost no chance you won’t leave the place feeling completely relaxed and zen after a day at The Barai.

If you’re feeling a bit adventurous, spend a day exploring the hotel through a different route- free form interconnecting pools with a big 22 metre water slide. What could be better than getting your swimming gear on and going on a swimming adventure, a quest to find the coolest spots and go down a water slide pretending like you’re twelve? Besides this, there is also a Fitness Centre that has a well-equipped gym for all the fitness freaks who cannot go a day without their protein shakes and hate missing their daily workouts. Guests can take different classes during their stay at the hotel depending on their interests and this includes Muay Thai boxing lessons, Yoga lessons and Tai Chi lessons.

018 Tranquillity CourtFor guests who want to look around in Hua Hin, it is very easy to get to town, and the hotel can arrange transportation for you. Just a few tourist attractions include the Sam Roi Yod National Park, Pranburi Mangrove Forest Park, Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, Wild Elephant watching and Rajabhakti Park. One of the most popular tourist attractions in Hua Hin, The Cicada Market, doesn’t even need a car to get to as it’s just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel. Open Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings, Cicada is a hugely popular art market offering live music, food and beer gardens, art studios and vendors selling unique gifts not typically found in an outdoor market.

Hyatt Regency Hua Hin_Sunday Brunch 2The Hyatt Regency takes you on a journey where you experience Thailand within the confines of the hotel. Massages, music, food, people and atmosphere but with a heavy touch of luxury. From the exotic beauty of their landscaped gardens and clear lagoons to the diverse options of activities to do.
