Let’s Stay, Metropole Residence Sukhumvit 39

    August 18, 2019Updated:August 20, 20194 Mins Read

Located in the upscale neighborhood of Bangkok’s Phrom Phong district is the colonial inspired building of Metropole. Set back from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok’s Central Business District, Metropole Residence on Sukhumvit 39 offers the experience of all the comforts of a home away from home with modern residences and well-appointed facilities.

Metropole takes pride in combining the best of Colonial architecture with neoclassic design and Thai elegance. Right as you enter the stylish lobby, you’ll see elegant yet masculine furniture spread out in the lobby creating tiny nooks of nostalgia and comfort. Dark wooden shelves littered with books and other quirky accent pieces welcome you.

Metropole Residence is not a large hotel, it is a bespoke property with just 88 rooms. Room types offered start with stylish studios and go up to one, two & three-bedroom suites ranging from 45 to 120 sqm in size. All the studios and suites feature modern amenities including a kitchenette, a clothes washer, private balcony, a flat-screen LED TV, complimentary Wi-Fi connection, a bathtub and a Japanese-style washlet. With plenty of natural light coming in from the windows, all of the rooms are brightly lit and warm with contemporary interior settings. Each room is specially designed to fit your needs, whether you’re a sole business traveler or a couple on a getaway.

The Metropole offers all the amenities that one would expect at a Bangkok luxury hotel like a pool & fitness center.  Pleasant surprises include a steam room for both genders.  Meanwhile, the fitness center is opened every day from 5 am to 11 pm, offering complimentary access to all guests residing at Metropole Residence.

Upstairs on the 3rd floor, the swimming pool features a vertical garden, sun deck and a whirlpool to beat the Bangkok heat. Those travelling with children can make use of their kids’ area.

If you’re feeling peckish, go downstairs to the lobby level where Café 39 provides a cozy cafe offering hand-crafted coffee, ice cold beers, daily breakfast buffet, pastries, snacks and everyday essentials. The setting is bright and warm, with dark brown wood and leather furnishing giving a warm welcoming ambience so, you can sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite drinks with good books, work over emails or have a casual chat with friends. Those who prefer some outdoor vibe may enjoy the lovely outdoor seating area. Cafe’ 39 also has a casual- private meeting space accommodating up to 8 guests. Coffee breaks and lunch can be arranged with advance reservation at the reception counter.

Tucked away in a quiet soi (alleyway) in Sukhumvit 39 – one of the most desired residence areas in Bangkok, Metropole Residence connects you to all the lifestyle essentials shopping districts and entertainment hotspots. Metropole is within a 15-minute walk of Emporium and EmQuartier, as well as the Terminal 21 Shopping Mall. With that in mind, Metropole Residence offers all guests complimentary shuttle tuk tuk service to The EmQuartier Shopping Malls and Prom Phong BTS sky train station. The service is available every day from 9.00 am to 7.00 pm and departs from the hotel every 60 minute. Dine on delectable bites along the famed Sukhumvit Road, which is lined with Japanese restaurants and cosy cafés. Board the BTS SkyTrain at the nearby Phrom Phong Station and explore nearby sights, from the bustling Thong Lor to the quaint Lumphini Park. Samithivej Sukhumvit Hospital is just 700 metres away from the apartment, proving that at Metropole Residence on Sukhumvit 39, everything is well within reach. If not, their well-trained staff will ensure that you find it comfortably.
