It’s been close to five years since we last featured the Westin Grande Sukhumvit Bangkok. Since that time, I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the hotel multiple times, and my appreciation for the property has only grown. It’s not glitz; it’s warm and comfortable and delightful for an extended stay.
The spacious, family-friendly hotel rooms and suites feature Heavenly® Beds and views of Bangkok’s bustling Sukhumvit district. The Heavenly® beds are not to be taken lightly. They genuinely are heavenly; I don’t think I’ve ever had a better night’s sleep.
The Heavenly® Bed is manufactured by Simmons exclusively for West in Hotels. Since its introduction in 1999, the Westin Heavenly Bed has eased millions of guests into a deep, restful sleep. The custom pillow-top mattress is layered with soothing Westin linens, plush pillows, a cozy down blanket, and a custom duvet. Westin received so many requests to buy the bed that they started selling them at Nordstrom Department stores in America; they are that good.
The Westin Grande Sukhumvit offers five room categories ranging in size from their Deluxe rooms at 40 to 45 square meters to their Presidential Suite at 160 square meters. In between, you can choose from their Premium Deluxe, Westin Executive Club, & Deluxe Suite. The Westin Executive Club, Deluxe Suite & Presidential Suite come with exclusive access to the Westin Club Lounge. In reviewing the benefits of Club access, I think they offer more than any hotel in Bangkok.

I learned early on in Thailand that a certain sex gets grumpy when they are hungry, and thankfully the Westin offers plenty of options to combat that.
Kisso is the hotel’s Japanese Restaurant, and it’s been voted the Best Japanese Restaurant in Bangkok. A favorite of Japanese expats, the restaurant serves traditional and contemporary recipes that include sushi, bento boxes, and other classics; it’s open for lunch and dinner with a current buy 1 get one free set lunch promotion.
Seasonal Tastes is Westin’s all-day dining restaurant, offering one of the best hotel breakfasts in the city. Seasonal Tastes is also well known to Bangkokians for their buffets. Friday & Saturday from 12:00 to 14:30 hrs. they have an International Lunch Buffet, THB 950++. Friday and Saturday from 18:00 to 22:30 hrs. is their Seafood & Grill Dinner Buffet THB 1,950++ and Sunday, from 12:00 to 15:00 hrs. they put on their Seafood & Grill Sunday Lunch Buffet THB 1,950++.

If your Heavenly® bed is just too comfy and you don’t feel like leaving your room, you can always give room service a call 24 hours a day. In addition to all the delicious food available from their Room Service menu, you can also order from their Westin Sleep Well Menu, a curated selection of sleep-enhancing super-foods available through in-room dining.
For business travelers in need of meeting space, the hotel offers ten venues with an ideal layout for every occasion. Their flexible venue portfolio includes a lively Grand Ballroom, elegant meeting rooms, business amenities, and Altitude, their holistic hospitality space on the hotel’s 25th floor, where views of the Bangkok cityscape inspire gatherings.
When it’s time to worship the temple that is your body, keep up with your fitness regimen with a visit to their WestinWORKOUT® Fitness Studio and then journey to their luxury Vareena Spa. Once your body is fit and relaxed, visit the rooftop pool with panoramic views of Bangkok.
And, when you are ready to explore the city, you’ll love how conveniently located the property is. Right across the street is Terminal 21, a shopping mall with over 600 shops located on eight floors. Within a truly short three-minute walk, you’ll arrive at the Asoke BTS Skytrain and the MRT Subway stations. From there, you have almost the whole city at your doorstep.
A wise person once said, “The rule of my life is to make business a pleasure and pleasure my business.” I think they were staying at the Westin Grande Sukhumvit, Bangkok, when they wrote that.
