The new flagship of the Oceanis range, the Oceanis 62 arrives from a collaboration between Berret Racoupeau Yacht Design, the Italian stylist Pierrangelo Andreani and French builder Beneteau.
KEY FEATURES
According to Andreani, the Oceanis 62 was inspired by a horizontal line form, which is carried forward throughout the exterior lines. The exterior is then nearly encircled by windows, which run from the aft nearly all the way to the bow, and is matched by huge windows in the deckhouse.
Olivier Racoupeau says the brief was to create a yacht with a high speed and guaranteed stability for a safe ride. Racoupeau took elements from superyacht design to create this yacht. The hydraulically operated transom folds down to create a wide swim platform and reveals the tender garage.
The bimini top extends over the entire cockpit, protecting guests from the sun and the weather. The sturdy bimini top can be fitted with solar panels or a wind turbine, to provide new and eco-friendly power sources. An outdoor galley at the stern has a plancha grill, sink, chopping board and drink holders – and it can be lit up for meal prep at night.
The luxurious interior of the Oceanis 62 is in a class of its own. There is a three- or four-stateroom layout, with the three-cabin version offering an extra bathroom.
As a tribute to its success, the Oceanis Yacht 62 was awarded European Yacht of the Year at the Boot Dusseldorf boat show 2017.
