The 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show is organized under the theme of “Shaping the Next Chapter.” The epidemic crisis has caused significant impacts, leading to the development of innovations and technologies to suit the new way of everyday life. Novel visions and conceptual ideas are the consequences of improving the nation’s economy for public wellness and living quality.
Dr. Prachin Eamlumnow, CEO of GPI and the Chairman of the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show, said, “It has been over a year now that the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemic hit Thailand and all over the world. This has inevitably caused an impact to the entire economy of Thailand including the automotive industry, in which Thailand is a world-class production hub of many renowned brands. However, with the strong collaboration between the government and private sectors to fight against this crisis, the sign for economic recovery finally shines, especially now that COVID-19 vaccination has already rolled out in Thailand a few days ago. So, this year, Bangkok International Motor Show will play a vital role in propelling Thailand’s economy. The exhibition space of 170,960 square meters, packed with more than 34 participating car and motorcycle companies is the proof that Bangkok International Motor Show is one of the greatest automotive shows in South East Asia.”, Dr. Prachin added.

Regarding safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19, Mr. Jaturont Komolmis, COO of GPI and the Vice Chairman of the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show revealed that it is necessary to ask for the kind collaboration from visitors to wear a face mask at all times when visiting the show and to always have hands cleaned with sanitizer before getting into an exhibited car. Mr. Jaturont also said, “The gangway width between each booth and the main walkway will be expanded to reduce congestion of the venue. To increase the confidence of automotive companies and visitors, the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show obtained Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration (SHA) certification from the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Thus this year, the COVID-19 preventive measures will be strictly applied as usual to meet the New Normal way of life and to go in line with the policy given by the Ministry of Public Health and the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA).”
This year, the organizer has developed a mobile application called “Car Buddy by GPI” to enhance exhibitors’ and visitors’ service. The application will help set up a visitor database and allow visitor behavior to be analyzed to serve their needs more efficiently.
Mr. Peeraphong Eamlumnow, COO of GPI and the Vice Chairman of the 42nd Bangkok International Motor Show said, “Car Buddy by GPI application is another service developed by GPI to facilitate and enhance visitors’ experience when visiting Bangkok International Motor Show.
